A Womanifesto

A declaration {of, for, with} life as I turn 33.

I promise to continue falling madly in love with the world even as I open myself to the darkening shadows, smoke rings, and canary songs coming from modernity. I will participate as fully as I know how in the collective awakening; the reimagining, the reconciling. I will foster the beauty that comes from returning to our roots and to the land.

I commit to growing that which is life giving and life cycling; to steward habitats and resilient ecosystems. I will work with grief. Learn from her, sit with her. I will channel playfulness and continue courting my dreams. I will listen for the unique work that is mine to do in the world as a weaver and instigator of exploratory inquiry.

I will use my voice. I will sing. I will dance.

I will speak, dance, and sing for & with the ones who do not use words.

I commit to love… to continue unearthing the capacity our hearts hold when in deep connection. To be learning with others how to show up fully in relationships. I will continue co-creating life and sensing in what ways I am meant to mother, to nurture, to inspire.

I commit to choosing gratitude and joy and *slowly* savoring the sweetness life provides.
